EQUANS are recruiting for a Planner to be based based at EDF Sizewell B Power Station. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

This role is responsible for the oversight of day to day activities of Equans works delivered at Sizewell B, the role interacts with all Equans departments, and acts as the interface and key point of contact with EDF Work Management for work planning activities.

You will have responsibility to ensure all works are planned and managed on a weekly basis and delivered as per plan, this position requires strong interaction between numerous internal department leads and specifically station Work Management department.

You will be required to act positively and participate as a team member and to work flexibly within your competence to deliver the business targets of the department. It will be your responsibility to ensure that all activities are carried out with full regards to site licence requirements, statutory regulations, company and location procedures and safety rules. You will also take an active role in supporting the corrective actions programme (CAP) raising condition reports (CRS) when appropriate and delivering actions to agreed timescales.

What will you deliver?

  • The planner will need to work with other departmental teams and Managers, Supervisors and subcontractors to ensure that works across all crews are completed as per plan.
  • Chair / attend all relevant meetings associated with Equans planned work.
  • Ensure any documentation and reporting are delivered in time.
  • Ensure delivery of the plan as directed by the client and Equans General Manager.
  • Good decision making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Responsibility for ensuring work is adequately scheduled and delivered as per plan.
  • Attend Work Management meetings.
  • Be willing to work overtime to support he demands of the business.
  • Assist other departments as and when the workload dictates.

Who are we looking for?

  • EDF Energy-Passport trained (desirable) to WM6/WM2 level.
  • EDF Energy-Information security level 2.
  • Experienced in data inputting.
  • Knowledge of planning and resource profiling.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Effective and decisive organisational skills with experience in introducing new ideas and approaches within a team.
  • Experience of developing operational teams, focused on service delivery.
  • Flexible approach to work and ability to work under own initiative.
  • Sound understanding of H&S , environment & QA procedures.
  • Understanding of planning and resource profiling.
  • IT Literate with knowledge of Microsoft applications and other information management systems.
